Alternative to Violence mini Training workshop with youth of Gandaki Association of Deaf, Pokhara, Nepal

We facilitated an Alternative to Violence mini Training workshop with deaf youth to strengthen trust & confidence building among themselves on 17^th June, 2024 at Gandaki Association of Deaf, Pokhara (GAD) training hall. We were altogether 26 participants, 14 Female, 1 interpreter from GAD and 2 members from Bikalpa-Nepal were participated. The training workshop was mainly facilitated by Ram Chandra Paudel and Sharada Sharma.

Concluding remarks

Facilitator also learnt a lot how to facilitate activities with deaf persons as we do not know the sign language. All the participant youth and facilitator team enjoy the training workshop very much.  Youth shared that it builds up their confidence to deal and interact with people, to express their views and opinions and to think deeply and positively. They are willing to welcome facilitator team and have such program frequently.
